THE COLLEGE OF MARIN
The College of Marin, founded in 1926, is one of the oldest community colleges in California.
Its Intensive English Program is located on the Indian Valley Campus, a beautiful setting in rolling hills in northern
Marin County. It is an idyllic, safe, suburban environment where students can easily find housing with American
families. It is only a half hour from the Golden Gate Bridge, the city of San Francisco, the Pacific Ocean, Mount
Tamalpais, and the California wine country.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM (ESL)

FIELD TRIPS/ LOW COST / 16 WEEKS / TOEFL
The Intensive English Program on the Indian Valley Campus offers high quality classes in academic English for residents
and international students. It prepares students to enter American colleges and universities and helps them to
improve their English skills for other purposes such as business, TOEFL, or general communication. Classes meet
Tuesday through Friday, 20 hours a week, for 16 weeks. Testing and placement take place during the first week.
There is a $50 application fee .
New 8-week sessions available for local students.
Session A: January 22-March 14, 2008
